Antique Farm machinery is my hobby and passion, and fixing and keeping them running is my goal. As well as antique equipment I do feature some of the local modern farm machinery around my area as well.

Gotta love the 1070 tractors, my grandpa has 3
The very last puller was one of the very best 😅
Had a 7721 pull type with over 260 hp pulling it It was impressive back then
That "H" is a keeper 💥
Be nice if the video wasn't so juddery.
Full Pull! 👍
Very impressive, good job.
Sad to see those stands empty
Its a beauty! Congratulations. It sounds perfect as well.
The screen on top of the oil pan drain plug is to protect the input of the oil pump syphon tube. The tube input sits right in the middle of that screen.
My guess is someone just before you did a valve job (maybe just a lap job) and did not hone or re-ring the engine but cleaned up the head, combustion chambers, piston tops, and valves and put it back together with a new head gasket.
What was the specific problem you took it apart for (usually good to know what you are fixing)? Low compression in all cylinders, one cylinder, rings, valves, fuel supply,?? Those piston tops were Clean! That can sometimes happen with a small coolant leak, but not all four like that. I am at 4:22 so have not seen the combustion chambers yet but those pistons LOOK outstanding (from someone that has rebuilt countless motors). OK. Just saw the head/valves. It looks excellent as well. Those coco brown intake valves are what you want to see. An engine with carbon build up would have both valves covered with carbon and you could not see the contour of the top of the valve. That engine is very low hours from someone just very recently having it apart. Engines in bad shape don't look like that. That is how you want your head to look. I take it you very recently replaced the plugs because they look new as well.
Really cool!
Boring as hell😂😂
Twas a nailbiter...

I work in repairing tractors and agricultural machinery
good evening how are you my friend
Dad got a bargain on a '39 A in 1966. Used it a lot until 1983 or 84.
It really is a beautiful sound. We had a 1941 H and I used it often. I always crank started it because I could.
U think
Ya think..? ROFLMAO 🤣
It sorta looks like it. 😅
Old H sounds good.
Your uncle wanted in on the fun.
Sounds like you have the H tuned up good! Rolling some nice furrows 👌
There must be a john deer in every second farm through out the world
I have the same truck but in a 4x4 with red interior. Wiring is my nightmare. All the wires are so brittle seems I’m always chasing some sort of electrical issue
I have a 53 to but you got a great deal! Good for you!😀🇨🇦
Bent pushrods... somebody forcing the engine over with stuck valves. Paint... we have the colors posted on yesterdays tractors. IH 50 is correct for the H. I've sprayed too many machines. IH is decent paint. I still recommend Martin Senior though.
It was painted with farmall red. From what I researched farmall red was very similar to wheel horse red and since I have IH stuff I opted to go with IH paint
Wheel Horse red is pretty similar to Farmall red 😉 (Massey red too) ❤
i would be out ther like will it start
Are you going to take it apart? Or do u want to know a secret that will help get you by?
Don't swap the breaks. You said that already , but don't ever put disk on any Farmall. Those things never work right. New ones work great at first , then they suck hind tit. I've had them on super C , h , and an M. They just plain old suck hind tit.
Ok I appreciate the advice I’ll just stick with the band brakes
Okay ethan! I'm watching your transmission video. I have had break pinions out of an h transmission you will definitely have to drop the bull gears to do that there's no way around it. I have two sets of pins to run in place of a couple of bolts on the axle housings so that you can pull them out.. might not have to take the axles clear out but you're going to have to take the tires off, then pull your axles out far enough to get the bull gears out so the bull pinions will slide out if you don't you'll break the cage on the bull pinion. 40 years ago those bull pinions were 75.00 used a burghs
Seriously Ethan when it gets that milky color, it isn't just oil, it's got water in it too.
sorry bout that bro, i needed to put all my excess peanut butter somewhere
Nice trucks man
Wow that’s nice you can’t kill any idi!
W O W 🎉 The F250 is a beautiful time capsule, It's a little odd it doesn't have the factory tachometer, but I guess not terribly out of the ordinary, ,,, are you aware of how the tilt steering column works in those, ? push the turn signal lever forward and then you will be able to tilt your wheel if you are unaware.. It sure does sound great, !😊 Congratulations 🎉
I don’t think my truck has the tilt steering wheel. I looked and looked and couldn’t see anything to get it to move
@@AntiqueIron05,, First time I watched the video I thought that the column had one notch of "Tilt up" , now after looking at your video again, I see the column is straight, But the tilt mechanism on those is cleverly hidden, and it is operated by simply pushing on the end of the turn signal lever towards the dash. I've got 3 of them that do that, A '79 F250, and '80 F150 and '86 F150, All of mine are automatic on the column, so I don't have the key release button on the left side like you do, I don't know if that is possible to have tilt with that. I forgot to look to see if you had steering wheel cruise control switches, all 3 of mine do, but with your factory AC I thought it possible that it could have tilt... In any case, that's a great truck, such a clean body! And it runs really sweet ! That hubcap (dog dish/nut cover) on the left rear wheel, I have all 4 from factory on my '79 F250, it is full Time four wheel drive, the most awesome thing for plowing snow with an 8 foot blade on the front. Thanks again for showing us your great truck.
Busy busy
That’s a lot of pepper!
What is your serial number -29950 and I have a 1940
The rig you passed was a jac power unit with the lift arms and cylinders on the front model f10
Rockin' the old school gas tank cap, & friction throttle lever... But she's runnin' on 12V.
Someone told me I need to get mine converted to 12v bit I love the 6 volt and my tractor starts right up at any temperature
@@sunkbootnoot1204 ,, Well then why would you change anything, I would not,,, although I am also very happy with putting an 8 volt battery on a 6 V system, works great, and you don't need to do anything else...
I had been wondering all along why there weren't any valve seals going in, okay, so you brought it up, did you ever think about putting some on maybe from some other application? Or is there not enough oil action going on under the rocker cover of an F20 (-;
Well under the valve cover on top of the rocker assembly is two trays, those two trays have felts in them that stick out holes in the bottom of the trays and the tray is filled with oil by way of the two flipper lids on the valve cover and when the rocker comes up it hits that oil soaked felt and drips a few drops of oil on it, thus lubricating the valve assembly. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed the video!
That tractor will be here long after were gone can't beat those old American vehicles
@opol7329 diesels can. Gassers can't
Nice
Seems to have a bad miss
Considering how much unburnt diesel that is coming out I would say it is misfiring on multiple
Hard to find a case that runs good at all. Without ih they would be done for
@@dilapi6227 my 1270 runs like new.
