what I eat in a day day in my life going keto to see what happens to my headaches and brain fog | charcuterie party edition! 🫒🧀🥜
I am so glad you don't live alone. For some reason, working in a cubicle AND watching what you eat always made me feel depleted.
@@SiberiaDreams haha yeah that’s the goal eventually but for now I live at home and it’s super nice because my dad is doing the same diet and does the shopping and most of the cooking!
With peace and love this diet doesn’t seem to be working, like you may be losing weight but depriving your body of carbs and nutrients seems to be making you miserable :( Our bodies need carbs to process food and stay full longer
Hey thank you I appreciate the advice. I don’t actually feel any worse than before-I got headaches and had gut issues when I was eating a high carb diet as well. My bloating has gone down a bit but otherwise I pretty much feel the same. I was hungry all the time before as well 😂 but this was just a two month test to see what happened so when it’s over I will start adding complex carbs back in again 🫶
You ever look into maybe you clench your jaw at night while you sleep. It gives wicked headaches a some jaw pain. Also low vitamin D.
@@lizzyinhawaii5713 so I do have a mouth guard because of teeth grinding/clenching but I’m not sure what else can be done about that. I recently got bloodwork done and my vitamin D was normal.
Is it possible to do keto even if you’re a picky eater?
@@Love-wq4bv depends on what foods you’re picky about 😜 you just have to stick to meat, dairy, and vegetables mostly
@ okay, thanks! At least I get a better understanding now!!
Hey! I see that you are trying to draw blood and I know that it can be hard to do so, but as someone who has diabetes I have found a way get a good amount of blood. I would say to try and pinch the upper part of your finger with your thumb and place your ring finger on top of of your finger. Do this to the middle finger, its the finger that is easiest to draw blood from when doing this. You will see the tip of your finger become really red, thats where you want to place the needle. Do not press too hard though, too much blood may come out. Take the needle thingy and apply it to the tip of your finger and press the button to draw blood. Enough should ome out to place on the test strip! I know that this may be hard, but you got this! I want to mention that it takes at least two hours for your sugar to go back down after you eat. Check before you eat, and then check it again about 20-30 minutes after you eat and then check again in about an hour and a half to two hours. You got this!!!
Have you tried a humidifier in your bedroom… I heard those work well for a lot people. Or maybe a nasal nette pot to like drain your sinuses and like add moisture. I am not a Dr or nothing just making a suggestion.I live in Texas and I feel you
@@jennb8734 my mom vetoed that idea because she didn’t want it to cause mold in the walls. otherwise I would have tried it. my nose always feels so dry 😩
@@_heyitsmay awwwww man I hope you find some relief
I love these videos btw! Helps me on my food journey and w headaches too! 😇
@@nikkithomas929 thank you, that’s so great to hear! 🥰
❤
Amazing transition!!! And gorgeous hair
thank you so much!! 🥰
Have you ever had your blood sugar checked? Like 3-4 times a day? And do you have night sweats?
So I actually tried to monitor it but I don’t think I have enough blood flow in my fingers or something because it was really difficult to get enough blood to get a reading when I pricked my finger. But the two times I was able to get it, it was in the normal range. I really would like to monitor it before and after eating though to see what’s happening
And no to the night sweats
@@_heyitsmay good, night sweats were a big sign for my blood sugar at night. Just thought I’d ask.
Why u r doing keto if u dont mind me asking
She literally says it in the video
I wanted to see if keeping my blood sugar stable would help the headaches and brain fog I got after eating before. unfortunately it hasn’t really 🥲
I went here for 1 year and looking back brings such fond memories but also god damn how big is this freaking place. And you did this whole tour without the help of the shuttle service. Bravo.
No one cares. Go outside.
no one forced you to watch this video lmao
Hope you feel better soon 😊
@@nohemilokz8082 thank you! 🫶🏻
The lunch Greek salad looks delicious. I hope you start feeling better. Are you losing weight?
if I am it’s not much. I haven’t been weighing myself because that wasn’t the intention of the diet but a pair of shorts I wore the other day kind of felt like they were falling down. I don’t feel like I look any different though lol 😂
I second Carnivore!! Carnivore is amazing... Mikhaila Peterson, Dr Ken Barry are great people to watch.
Courtney Luna as well, Steak and Butter Gal. I have several people I'd recommend. A friend of mine is carnivore and I'm transitioning. He's been carnivore for over a year and it's done phenomenal things for him. Reversed Migraines, Gerd, Carpel Tunnel. Has gave him more energy, mental clarity. I can't say enough good things. Definetly worth looking into ❤️😊
Go carnivore. Ur running very low carbs but still on carbs.
I’ve done the pee test strips and they show that I have ketones in my blood.
I've been eating like this my whole life..😂🤣 Then wonder why I cant gain weight..🤦♀️ I can't do all the carbs...makes me very tired.
Some dairy that’s not good for you and cheese can give you allergy symptoms and cold symptoms and make you sneeze every time I eat cheese I sneeze watch Bobby approved on TH-cam. He can explain it to you.
Stay away from caffeine
@@rebabustamante-uk7sc I wouldn’t make it through the work day without it unfortunately 🥲
It looks delicious and pretty!
thank you 🥰🥰
It’s a… Cat!
😂
The cat
he was very invested haha
It’s sugar withdrawals.will go away in a couple weeks
I felt this awful beforehand too, I basically just feel the same 😕
Feeling the same way too on keto. 😢
sorry friend 😢 I hope it gets better!
Feels like a coconut shortbread almost :0
Bless you girl!! I hope it helps! I had a PT client who went on Keto for weight loss but also inflammation and he seemed to love it. 🩵💜
I should cut the veggies and fruits! They’re poison! Go carnivore and drink water with salt, see how much ur health improves and u won’t have any headaches!
Drink salted water or just have extra salt for the headaches and fatigue as the body is dumping water/electrolytes (salts) on keto
thanks for the tip! the thing is I can’t actually tell if that’s what’s happening because I always had headaches and fatigue before. like i basically just feel the same.
that's more than moderate ketosis. testing the blood with a finger prick unit will be much more accurate. after a while your metabolism will adjust to be more efficient, and your body won't be dumping so much byproduct into your urine. so the test strips won't show up with that nice satisfying deep purple anymore. Not that dark, anyway. suggestion: try carnivore and one meal a day. I was keto for 15 years, and switched to carnivore about a year ago.
P.S. keto flu is the worst. also, those meals look great. But watch out for peanuts. They aren't really nuts, and a very small amount of them could knock me out of ketosis pretty much immediately.
Are you taking electrolytes in water?
My midday keto hack for office work around 2-3pm is getting salted macademia nuts and snacking on those and/or eating a can of sardines. No to low carbs! It puts your energy in check like no other on keto. COffee, tea or anything like that in such a circumstance just won't do it. I hate the corporate 9-5 partially for this reason. I need a break at midday!
Put xyltitol in Matcha with a shot of espresso (and half and half or heavy creme). I bought a deloghi espresso maker model 3420. Great investment for only $200. Xylitol tastes JUST LIKE sugar, but is zero Glycemic effect. Peets coffee has zero sugar matcha. I like going there for it.
Keto is a whole life transformer, not just body.
I just watched all 4 parts of your keto beginning videos. I'm just starting too, it's been a couple weeks now. I hope to see more of your journey!
hey thank you so much for your support! I am trying to get a video up every day 💪🏻
I love that you are prioritizing your health ❤ in the future, before you throw away perfectly good food… Consider asking a colleague, roommate or friend if they would like your extra food. 😊
@@ambersampson744 I only threw out the food that was expired/stale. I gave the rest to my co-workers and my mom to bring to bring to her office
No matter how you feel, remember your body is not meant to stay in ketosis. It is harmful long term and harms brain function. Have a set end date before you start. Keto is a thin line away from an eating disorder and many slip into it and just say they're doing keto long term. These people do permanent damage to their bodies and are at high risk of heart attack regardless of age and activity level.
Thank you for this! It’s very informative! For teaching a class, haw many did you have to do and how did you control your anxiety/nervousness, if you had it? And during class, was it difficult to keep your voice at a good volume/projection? Could you further explain lesson plans? Was there ever a time you had to rearrange things on the fly?
how much do you think one should charge for private tutoring in France?
I got accepted into CSULB.. but I am really hoping to get into UCLA (praying for an acceptance, it comes out march 22, 2024) but my back up is probably going to be here.. i am in love with the dorms
How was the location of your homestay? I'm going this summer and am nervous about being far out from the city
My homestay was just outside the "Boulevard Périphérique," the road that goes around Paris, and I wouldn't say it was too bad. I had to walk a few blocks to the tram and then take the tram two stops to get to the metro. It was a bit farther than some of my friends had to commute who lived in a more central location, but it really wasn't bad at all. I actually liked being away from the hustle of the more central areas. If you know where you'll be staying and where your school is, I would be happy to take a look and try to figure out what metro lines you should take!

I’m 63 and live at home with my parents who co-own the home with me. We sat around and watched Netflix movies all weekend coz it was too cold to do much else. I’m caregiving my mother who at 86 has slight Alzheimer’s or dementia. I work from home fulltime but am thinking of retiring in a year or two to become a fulltime writer (I’m a business writer by profession anyway), to write books and build up my KDP account. Which is already starting to make royalties. Then I plan to move back to Europe (France) and live happily ever after as long as Herr Trump doesn’t unleash Putin (assuming Trump wins the WH again by hook or crook) to totally destabilize that part of the world by dissolving NATO.
I can’t believe you live at home!
yep!
what city are you living in
I was in La Rochelle!
Puppy!!!!
Are you planning on going to grad school? I remember watching your studying vlogs like forever ago.
Yeah college seems like so long ago now haha 😄 No plans to go back to school. I was really over it by the end of undergrad!
You look beautiful!!
Aw thank you!
