Just came across this video. Thank you for all helpful info. Great instructions.
I don’t see the links in the description
Hi John. I ran across your video today, as I'm just getting in to downrigger fishing and needed a tutorial. This was really good and simple. Thank you. But most of all, it is so refreshing to watch a video without a bunch of F Bombs. It was refreshing to my soul and ears. Thanks man. Bless you today so very good. :)
Hello, I recently got a down rigger in hopes of getting some lake trout. I am wondering where I can find the link to the weights and clips.
Here are the releases and stacker I use. You will want to get heavier lead weights compared to the ones I use as you will be targeting a much deeper depth and want to minimize blowback. www.walmart.com/ip/Sep-s-Sure-Release-downrigger-release/17134853?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=3587&gclsrc=aw.ds&adid=2222222227817134853_117755028669_12420145346&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=m&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-394283752452&wl5=9032458&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=17134853&veh=sem_LIA&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADmfBIq6UjfdE2RGbiaZTwd4v2Re4&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIoovoqvKEhwMVw3NHAR2GpQ7kEAQYAiABEgLx2PD_BwE www.basspro.com/shop/en/scotty-downrigger-powergrip-plus-release-clip-with-self-locating-snap?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&ds_e=GOOGLE&ds_c=BPS%7CShopping%7CPMax%7CBoating%7CGeneral%7CNAud%7CNVol%7CNMT&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD1TgtfEGpo9xAAN7L0yfkr2_pGFk&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIs63b3vKEhwMVfktHAR1hcQsGEAQYBiABEgJg9PD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I've used downriggers for trout for 10 years. I still learned things.😊 Eagle Claw has a Kokanee rod that is only $25 +/- s well as Ugly Stik that was $49.99 at a store called Bi-Mart. Add on: Wish you would show more close up's especially with the stacker clip on, lures, ball-bearing swivel, etc. And personally I use Scotty & Cabela's (the old one before they became a sellout to Bass Pro Jerks!) rod holders on my 16 ft Starcraft SuperSport 16. Similar to this. Still, good video! 😊😊😊
Thanks-very helpful guide!
I could not find the link to fishing rods.
Here is the link. I would opt for the 7 foot ultra light option www.fishusa.com/Okuma-Celilo-Kokanee-Pro-Trolling-Rods/?sku=204342&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkq3e15W5_wIVlSatBh2vNQdTEAQYASABEgJwxfD_BwE
Great video
