My granddaughters came to me arguing over a doll they both said were theirs. I remembered the story of the 2 women arguing over the same child. Following Solomon's example I told them I would cut the doll in half and give each of them a half. One granddaughter said "Yes, cut it on half," while the other said, "Don't cut it." I gave the doll to that granddaughter. Solomon's wisdom is as effective now as it was then.
