Stephen we need to lobby Apple to add Stage Manager support to iPadOS Shortcuts. Right now it's too big of a pain in the butt to use Stage Manager hands-free. Imagine how enabling it would be if we could create shortcut scripts to setup workspaces for the different grouping of apps we want.

I agree - Apple is great for 'It just works' and it's 1st party apps have all the info needed to allow educated AI responses - it is cannot be that much of a reach for Apple to join the dots given the information it has and the computing power available - "Siri, where's my car - take me to it"... High capacity 2,850mAh AAs are 14x the mAh of a CR2032, and you'd be running them in series to get the full 3.0V so that'd be your full capacity. Sounds good at first, however... If the self-discharge rate was 3% (as per wiki as is standard on li-ion), that'd be 2.5 years, tops, not compensating for the current draw of the AirTag. Other battery types are likely worse about this (NiMh is ~4%), etc, and this ignores the potential of other damage to the battery. If we believe Apple's estimate of "they last a year", that'd mean potentially 225mAh is consumed in that time, or 19mAh per month. 2,850/19 would give you 12.5 years, so that's likely where the mistake was made - they just ignored all other statistics about the longevity of the AAs themselves.

Great show! I believe you two have forgotten the significant issue Apple successfully avoided with “Googly Eyes” (Eyesight). Before its release, major news outlets published numerous scathing and frankly terrifying pieces about AVP’s lonely experience and it ushering in technology’s relentless march towards social isolation. While the feature was flawed and heavily mocked, “Googly Eyes” successfully prevented THAT media narrative from gaining any traction. Apple would be smart to Keep, but improve Googly Eyes for no other reason.

The issue with Tik Tok is the Chinese Government’s ownership & involvement in it. I say national security is more important. Elon Musk will definitely buy it if it’s for sale.
