Sir, I have greatly admired your work. But I was so perplexed by your movie Dead Ringers from 1988. Was that some kind of Parody of Eugenics Propaganda? I remember being so disturbed by it, Mike, Wendy and I walked out of it in the Sackville New Brunswick theatre. It is the only movie I walked out of in my life.

What a waste of life

naja...bin irgendwie wenig begeistert. habe echt mehr erwartet. ich mein , im grunde, gut geworden. die ganze machart ist top. recht hohes level. aaaaaber : 1. dass da nun unbedingt eine farbige sozusagen die hauptrolle bekommt, ist ja wieder bezeichnend, zum augenrollen und albern. echt jetzt, nix gegen gleichberechtigung, aber so ein unbedingtes, aufgedrücktes quotending, sollte man doch sein lassen, um die glaubwürdigkeit zu erhalten. auch der daraus hier im film fast schon entstehende kampf der kulturen ist dann doch fehl am platze und schwachsinnig. und das nun das eine mädel "gewinnt", weil da mal von der schwangeren mama ne voodoo frau besucht wurde und überhaupt hier beim exorzismus mit voodoo dame aufgetaucht wird......ich weiß nicht....ist total flacher quark. und...das diese voodoo frau ganz provokant die kerze des "verlierermädels" auspustet, spricht auch für sich. das ist so nach dem motto "na für die weißbrote da gibts eh keine hoffnung. ich hab ja mit meinem voodoo viel mehr drauf. " puuuuuhhhhh.......dünnes eis. 2. wird in dem film irgendwann dann doch zuviel gebetet und von gott und tollem glauben geschwafelt, dass man hier ebenso die augen rollt und das interesse an der geschichte verliert. dann dieses fast schon heroische getue der beteiligten gegen ende und die musik, die alles übertreibt, ist dann zuviel des ganzen und wirkt albern, nervig und lässt einen vorspulen.
