    I'm purchasing a Fantom 08 in a few weeks. One of the things I really want to do is to be able to take the choir sounds that you're demonstrating here and sing with them using the vocoder. Is that possible?

      Absolutely; you can layer and split and then save all of your presets; there are hundreds of slots to make tons of custom set ups. You will not regret it this machine really sounds amazing the pianos the strings etc.

    I just got a Roland integra 7 and came across your laying video. I’m trying to figure out how to layer sounds. For instance I’d like to layer: piano, reverbs, synths, etc to one preset and trigger through piano midi at one time. Do you have a video or know of one that shows you how to do this? Your sound patch is great!

    • @Gregoryburns0000

      Turn all of your midi channels all to channel 1 all the tracks that you want to use together and they were all trigger together. Or to the channel that you like to use as your main…

      @jeffpetersus ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome thanks! Can you set up your own presets: 1, 2, 3, 4… and access them quickly with preset buttons off iPad or unit? I haven’t figured that out yet. If so, how would you do this?

    • @jeffpetersus
      @jeffpetersus ปีที่แล้ว

      @Fantom 7X that’s great! Do you know if I can setup preset buttons to access quickly with the Integra instead of using the scroll wheel? Say I need 4 presets for a setlist and I want to push a button to change preset. How would I do this for a live setting? Does the app allow you to setup your own unique presets for a push of a button quick change?

      @@88mokeyz8k I have one but I never going to sell it. It has all the best Roland zen sounds already which is really the Xv sounds and the srx and jv cards. Only thing that zenology and the new fantom got on the integra 7 is the Modeled synths but you can still find all of those synth sounds for free on the Axial Roland integra sounds. They are powered by the supernatural synth engine which sounds better than zen core. Zen core sounds too much like a vst. It’s good for zenology but not the fantom.

    This is a custom patch… I don’t bother doing presents, only custom patches to give you an idea of what the I7 is capable of. One of the best synths you will ever own. Stunning piano’s that can be mixed with layers of these types of sounds for wonderfully lush patches. Each synthesizer is quite unique though; like us, they almost have their own personalities and unique sonic pallets. Blows away all the JV series, though I Absolutely adored the XV 88 weighed synthesizer controller. But this is still better. Patch is listed below. TY for listening…

    th-cam.com/video/QawYWsuk490/w-d-xo.html N/Zyme was never going to morph a Fantom into a Waldorf Iridium. But its a digital tonal structure, with inherent shortcomings regardless. It's something "extra" for those that want it. It's tone can create unique and different sounds all the same though. I agree with your point, most demonstrations sound pretty meh. It'll be an engine that will sound mega 5% of the time, spending the other 95% missing the mark, and sounding a sonic mess. But isn't that the same as most analogue and digital synths? A Korg MS-20 can sound incredible, and like a plastic vintage Bontempi. Every design/engine/filter subsystem can sound poor much of the time, and have moments of brilliance. What matters is having lots of time, to dig deep and experiment. The best gems are hidden deep. The video from Gattobus is an awesome showcase of N/Zyme. That said, he likely spent a month getting that together, and is a best-case scenario. Plus, sound is totally subjective. Once man's meat, is another man's poison too. As much as I can relate to what you attempted to do here, your example - and his video are worlds apart. But both can be appreciated for what they are. Does your example get to even 40% of what N/Zyme does compared to the other video? No, it does not. But your vid is nice/cool regardless!! I'm not blown away by the new engine either. But, as soon as you realise that it will take hours of mangling to find sweet-spots that sound incredible - you can appreciate it for what it is. It's a sonic option, nothing more, nothing less. It makes the Fantom behave like a different synth in new ways. N/Zyme can sound like a pretty average organ when exploring tones, or sound like the next new thing on a Jarre album. It's one extreme to the other. But, it's one extra new trick the box can do that it didn't before - no bad thing. Thanks for the video. N/Zyme for the many interested folk will be a no-brainer. But, just like many famous synths/effects, it'll sound lacklustre much of the time. The tones it creates can be filtered too. To get the best out of it, I doubt it's going to be a consistent "live" performance tool, well unless you have lots of time to research and rehearse of course. It'll need careful planning and manipulation, and arrangement in a layered track to always sound its best. Cool vid.

    • @Gregoryburns0000
      @Gregoryburns0000 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can find yourself a JV 1080 or a XV88 that would be the way to go. Not many waveforms in 880 but you can put a single expansion board in it if you can find one, ebay or craigslist if your lucky. The xv88 is the first weighted controller Roland ever made; it will take two jv expansion boards and two srx expansion boards. their on ebay for a grand plus but the sounds you can make are fantastic!!! All you need is the Ultimate Keys Ex. board. the pianos on that board are mindblowing, rivaled only by the Nord Lead.. I also own a Integra 7, a Korg M-3 and a Korg Radias; if you can get your hands on any of those do not hesitate. great machines. and remember I made those sounds over 20 years ago. If your good with computers they have editors for pretty much every midi synth ever created. I don"t use computers for anything, I even created and loaded up this site using an Ipad. Used to own three 880,s and a JV80 keyboard. there is one on craigslist for 220 bucks but the action on those suck. If you don't care for 88 keys find and old Yamaha DX-7 and use as your controller and just buy modules. one of the best ever made and has great action. but get a later one they respond to more midi commands than the very first ones. be patint; it may take weeks or months to get a sound right. Imagine what waveform will help you achieve your goal and go from there. STAY CREATIVE. and please subscribe to my channel. and if your in San Diego and a songwriter you could create something in my home studio. I am actually a bass plkayer but am a monster tech-head and producer. Don't ever stop creating!!!!!!!!!!! Gregory

      Gregory Burns thanks for your reply, very interesting I read a lot of engineers actually prefer 880 over the 1080 they say that the filters are smoother and the overall sound is a little richer, I used to have a Dx 25 some crazy sounds I could make with that I’m going to get another one and get lost 😁👌🏾
