I'm also growing it here in our garden in Seattle.
I stumbled onto this on a trail near my apartment in Mountain View. Loved the smell so I read up on it. Apparently it was made into a tincture and used as an extremely strong but safe pain killer that native Americans would use for broken bones! Right in our back yards!
I found poison oak in the blackberry. SF/EF
Thank you! I’ve been in love with these trees for some time now.
so qute
1020/23. Nice presentation with helpful alliteration for fun. Thanks!

Awesome video, I see these everywhere in San Francisco w/out realizing they’re only native to Monterey bay

Awesome! Thank you for the mini-tour.
Great video, very enjoyable and educating.
Certified shrub moment 😎
I found one in Australia growing amongst our native grass plants and it’s about 6yo. I dug it up and trying to do some bonsai work. See how that goes. Cheers.
Ooooh!
so many of these tree videos are underappreciated....

Monterey Cypress is also native to Del Norte county California. !
In fact it is.👍

Cool
I actually just found this video because I was listening to an aquarium zoom presentation where they mentioned bubble blowing as a courtship behaviour! So perhaps the one blowing bubbles is smitten and trying to impress their "friend" there!
Nice video, Like and Greetings from Italy :)

I love your video! I’m going to put a small plant that I just bought at a native plant nursery here in Oakland. I’m looking forward to seeing the pollinators hanging out close to the sticky monkey flower. Maybe it will bloom this year. Not quite sure yet! 🙂
