So it's been a little while since I've tested this, and I'll check it again right after I've finished my breakfast here lol. But Tri-Slosher fall-off doesn't work quite the same as Shooter or Roller fall off does. It's a bit more manageable! Tri-Slosher sloshes only start suffering damage fall-off when the slosh falls a small distance below the point it was spawned from. If you're standing on say, Marooner's Bay's flat shore and throw a slosh, that slosh won't have any amount of damage fall-off no matter how long it stays in the air. But if you stand on the boat and throw it down, it starts losing damage as soon as it falls a bit lower than where you're standing. It does still mean you can't sit up on a safe ledge and throw down your attacks with no consequences, and in general any mild incline has the potential to start dropping off your damage. But it does mean that you don't have to position yourself as close to enemies as a roller needs to do if you're both on flat ground. You can more safely space away from tankier targets like small groups of Cohocks, or more safely poke at a Steel Eel and still get to keep your maximum damage You can also slosh up at a Steelhead looming over you and always have the damage for a three shot with no worries (aside from your range ofc) Or poking up onto higher ground at enemies who are up there and still get to keep your damage, like if you're at the bottom of a ledge or a ramp. Also have to say I love love LOVE your take of looking to the positive sides of all weapons! Every weapon in the game has SOMETHING they can bring to the table, and looking at it like that has helped me discover some of my favourite weapons in the mode. Heck this video has made me re-evaluate Tri-Slosher a bit even! ^^

Remember when the Slosher did just as much (little) as the Tri-Slosher? This is definitely a Slosher that exists to me. It always feels like a weapon that's alright but never really excels. I like its support, though, and that's always felt like an undervalued thing to me on a lot of weapons.

I main tri-slosher in most anarchy rotations because i love to be right up in people's faces but in salmon run i always get too scared to get close and personal, i think too much variety in the salmon hitboxes compared to a player, now im excited to try this out a little more properly :D thank you for the very informative video once again

It's strange. The Tri-Slosher and the Rapid Blaster/ Rapid Blaster Pro have extremely different characteristics, but both of them are best when you stick with another player and support that person from either the side (in the case of the Tri-Slosher) or from behind (in the case of the Rapid Blaster Pro).

tbh whenever there's either the naut or ballpoint splatling in a sr rotation, i feel more confident in doing well and be certain i can help my teammates, no matter their skill levels are (IF i get those weapons in a wave.) Didn't think people actually struggled with Nautilus in SR, but hey, im glad this video exists for the people who do. No shame to em (i used to hate Salmon Run for my first days of Online Splatoon 3 cuz i was awful at it, no surprise there), and great vid!

Every time a rotation with a weapon or map comes up you’ve covered, I come back to your videos for a refresher. I’ve been playing Salmon Run off and on since 2, got 999 on freelance. Still these always show me something new, or remind me of something I forgot. Thank you for your content, they are the most helpful and informative Salmon Run videos out there.

The nautilus is great but I honestly never remember to store charges. It always feels like when a situation like that occurs there just isn't enough paint to swim and reposition. Or that the charge is so quick that I never feel the need to, as usually most bosses will go down with just a partial charge. I was looking out to see if I was in the video because I'm pretty sure I bumped into you on that rota.

One part of Nautilus's suite of odd for a Splatling stats that nobody seems to talk about is that it has fixed range. No matter how little you charge it, you always have the same range. Granted, it isn't as important as everything else, but it's nonetheless there.

Remembering that I can hold charges and reposition is one of my biggest weaknesses with Nautilus. Definitely need to practice that more. . Thanks for another great video Rachelski! <3

I was so happy to see a new video from you today. When I'm trying to get people into Splatoon, I often describe Splatlings by saying "Everything Shooters do, Splatlings do better…if you can find time to charge your weapon." Nowhere is the penalty of the charge requirement more harsh than in Salmon Run, where players are faced by a dozen different sources of chip damage at the same time if they don't stay mobile, and I'm glad that your video strongly identifies that danger.

I used to think the Nautilus was bad in Salmon Run because you never really make use of the most distinguishing feature: holding the charge in swim form. It took me a while to acknowledge just how useful the ability to continue charging a partial burst actually was. Makes it very ink-efficient with a good trigger discipline.

hello again. Very interesting and informative episode (as usual :) ) But you ask viewers, so me too... how i deal with the bosses. Honestly, assuming that SR is a team mode and in principle everyone should work for everyone. I go straight to slaughter bosses who in my opinion at the time pose the biggest threat not to me but to my team, mainly Fish fries and Steel eels. I assume that the people who go with me will do two things: help killing the boss or killing lessers. (Of course it works the same when I help someone) I don't have any specific category but there are three bosses that always pose a problem for me, and these are : Flyfish, steelhead, drizzler. Why? Because these bosses require good aiming in a short time. And I... well, I just can't aim. In short I am awesome in Slashers, Souls-likes and platformers, but in shooters I am terrible. So when I get some slow or charged weapon I know I'll be the "noob player" here, that's why I often focus on lessers and easy targets for me like Flipper-Flopper :)

(Sorry, but I need to vent myself, I hope you'll be understanding) Ok... I am truly impressed by the quality of your videos rachelski. I mean how informative, helpful and professionally they are made. Because thanks to them and luck in finding equally skilled randoms, I was able to kill my first boros and Joe, and almost kill the reiumvirate :) But... the extremely sad truth is that videos like these would not be so necessary if Salmonid Run was somehow consistent with the rest of the game. What I mean is this: 1. Where is my equipment from PvP with skills ? 2. Why can't I use my weapons permanently, or at least permanently choose one from the rotation ? 3. Why this "Armor" doesn't protect like in Campaign or Side order ? 4. Why do I only have two specials for three waves and that's it ?! 5. Why can't I renew my specials infinitely ? And I know, all of these questions can be answered with "Because of the story". But... I feel like the whole splatoon was created by the people from "Warframe" but Salmonid Run was created by the people from "Sekiro". I'm not saying it's bad or good. I'm just noticing a huge inconsistency with the rest of the game.
