White powerful solution against Benko
มุมมอง 664วันที่ผ่านมา
I am aware that many players feel uncomfortable against 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3.d5 b5. In his second publication Michael Roiz offers White solution against Benko Gambit. I believe it's a great timing since Black has discovered some playable lines against the main 5.bxa6 . I am a big believer that Benko offers White an opportunity to fight for advantage, and the right approach is to have a good line ...
Sensational idea in fianchetto variation of KingsIndian !
มุมมอง 1.2K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Very excited to introduce a first file of Michael Roiz, well-renowned theoretician, strong GM and well-known coach. Lately 6...Nc6 7.0-0 e5 line against fianchetto KID has been doing extremely well for Black. Michael offers a surprising solution 7.d5!?. It comes with detailed analyses and a bunch of new strategical ideas! Downloadable PGN you can find on my site ask-avrukh.com/Games.aspx

Is Modern Benoni in trouble?

Recently Modern Benoni has been very trendy thanks to the efforts of Super GM Richard Rapport. Also Magnus played it successfully during Grenke tournament. I have already recommended this line (Four pawn attack) 4 years ago (you can find it on my site ask-avrukh.com), but now I came up with surprising 9.Be2, which in my opinion creates a lot of problems for Black players. interesting video. I wonder what you have prepared against 3 e3, as I always felt that play becomes rather dull after 3...e5 4 Bxc4 exd4 5 exd4. maybe 4...Nc6!? what do you think about that? It would be a lot easier to purchase your content if there was an alternative to paypal available, especially for someone who is not from the United states. In Europe many transactions are done via bank transfer or credit card payment. thank you, Boris.

Thanks for your comment. I have to emphasizes that 3.e3 will transpose to the line 3.Nf3 since I do not recommend 3...e5, but rather go with 3...Nf6 4.Bc4 e6 followed up by c5. Unfortunately, currently there are issues to add different payment options. As far as I know you can open PayPal account and only use your credit card.

I started playing chess last year i went from zero knowledge to 2000 in less than 9 months but somehow now im stuck between 1900 and 2100 any advice?

First of all congratulations on your impressive progress! To reach 2000 in 1 year, it's very impressive. It's actually very common to get stuck at this level, since this is the level where chess players already work very hard and definitely spent thousand of hours on chess. They do not blunder primitive stuff and do not commit obvious mistakes. I would suggest to get a coach, if you cannot afford try to get at least one evaluation class where coach analyzes your games, indicated problematic areas and comes up with the plan. IN this case you are not going to lose time with self-work.

@@ask-avrukh1922 thanks for replying, the problem is chess isn't that popular in my country ( Morocco) so it's very hard to find a coach , because there's no gm in this country, so I'm trying to teach myself from TH-cam and games reviews and I was wondering if you can suggest any openings to pass this level , because I think that my openings don't match my playing style

@@tiredman261why not to try online? Currently I have only one student in person😉. Any opening which appeals to you should be fine, unless it has reputation of being dubious. At least to start with. When you see GMs play it that means it’s good.

Thanks for the detailed overview of your QGA file, I am getting this one today. A file having complete repertoire for white with 1. d4 playing all main lines against all standard responses by black would be awesome. I unnderstand that it would be too bulky and demanding but if anyone can do it in best way, its you.

In this file it's a full coverage of 1.d4 2.c4 , maybe at some point I will get 2.c4 deviations as well, although I have already London for Black on my site.

Negi mentioned that 3.b4 would give White an improved version of the Wing Gambit, although he didn’t finally recommend it in his e4 vs Sicilian 3 book. Does your file give a line against the WG? Thanks

@@ask-avrukh1922 In the line 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3, a6 Negi mentions 3.b4!?. It’s not like him to suggest such a move as an option [in the end his preferred choice vs the O’Kelly was ultimately 3.c3] so i thought this was interesting. He reckoned 3.b4 could be a ‘better’ version of the standard 1.e4, c5 2.b4?! Wing gambit as the move …a6 is not often played vs the Wing Gambit.
