Fishing for trout in the Owens River in May 2023. After a record snowfall year the water levels were high and water clarity was stained brown with a lot of vegetation floating in the water. Perhaps fishing will improve as the snow melts.

Hey man, great informative video. I’m not sure if you’re still active or not but I just wanted to know how these bearings held up. I know you mentioned you’ve never used that brand before.
Do you have a list of bearings you got for yours. It hurt my eyes looking at the hedgehog website lol
I just got mine, and there's a little spring and a tiny clicker plastic noob under the IC 5, but I can't for the life of me understand where it goes when looking at the schematics
2024, I bought curado 200 DC this past April and after adjusting the tension knob just to stop side to side play I still was always backlashing mind you I bought the American version & I own two 2017 JDM scorpion DC never have any issues. so I certainly took the curado DC back got a refund and I intend on buying JDM version of scorpion 2021 DC. I personally recommend getting any DC from the JDM market.
Could you give me a link for those bearings? When I cast it’s pretty loud.

Hello, I ve had mine for little while finally put it to use recently. It seem like mine barely have any drag I’ve tighten all thuê way. Have you seen this problem on them before???
Also have you upgraded the worm gear bushing to a bearing? It really smooths out the retrieve, however certainly is necessary especially since you mainly use it for saltwater applications.

i had the rusting issue with mine after 1 or 2 months saltwater fishing. the bearings under the tension knobs rusted bad, i couldnt crank the handle. planning on switching the bearings out with full ceramic ones
That should really help the reel hold up in saltwater. I haven’t had problems since I switched mine.
Do your breaks on the side plate have a little wiggle? I'm trying to diagnose this loose clicking sound that mine is making when I reel fast. I noticed that the entire breaking system is a little loose.
Yes, there is a about 1mm of wiggle in the brake assembly.

Mine also have the wiggle on the breaks.. but when i compared to curado, its much better compared to SLX.. not sure why..
Could you be more specific about the "wiggle"? I own both reels, i.e. Curado & SLX BFS.

Cmon man, you should REALLY learn how to handle fish if you're going to release them. At minimum, wet the hands before touching them, and use this thing called a net.

Lame! Dry hands on wild trout then you drop it. Get a net and learn to fish and go back to the suburbs.
