My coffee grinder was assembled with a bit of glue. I had to bang the lower part of the casing with a hammer repeatedly and hard before it gave way. Bosch clearly doesn't want us to open and repair it. They want us to buy a new one.

Thanks mate, the mechanism is the same fir the 6000 variant. A rubber hammer also works wonders without denting the plastic. Hope you could fix yours aswell, mine just had a dirty switch.
