Why You Need To Reconsidering BAREFOOT Shoes!
AGILE MINIMALIST SHOES
www.runnersathletics.com/products/agile-minimalist-shoes-white
Barefoot and Bold.
Just look at the feet of people like LeBron James, Shaq, Usain Bolt, and other top athletes - all with destroyed feet from years of training and performing in less-than-ideal footwear.
Most modern shoes - despite all of their “technology” and the research that went into developing them - are worse for people now than they were in ancient times.
Stick around as we jog you through the evidence; top athletes that have had their feet destroyed by modern shoes, vs. the ones who thrived going barefoot.

Just please don’t run barefoot on concrete and/or asphalt! Same as pointed toe box shoes, concrete and asphalt aren’t natural as grass, sand, mud, etc.

I'm pretty sure foam helps with shock absorption of any kind of striking movement on the delicate human joints. It really depends on the type of shoe the person buys and its technology within it.

I understand the appeal to use the foot as it was biomechanically intended, but a drastic switch from cushioned shoes to a minimal or even barefoot shoe doesn’t help. As an American, I live in a society covered in concrete and asphalt, even in a rural state. These materials dramatically increase the impact forces that reverberate through your legs when running and can cause injuries without the necessary padding. Instead of switching cold turkey, I encourage a gradual transition to lower cushioned and wider toe box shoes. Personally, I run a lot, so I need the cushion to keep my legs healthy. When I’m not running and need a shoe, I wear the Altra Lone Peak to let my feet do their job properly while maintaining comfort. I have dealt with minor Achilles tendon issues in the past and instead of purchasing high drop shoes, I have use PT exercises found online to strengthen my lower legs.

Yep, you are 100% correct. Modern shoes are faster and great for races. A more minimal shoe allows runners to get proper form and strengthen muscles properly.

100%. If you're going for a pb, I think those are the way to go. But at least for me, the occasional mid tempo run in barefoot shoes made the "normal" runs quicker as well. And in the long run (70s and up), anything you can do to improve your balance might literally save your life.

    1. They can charge much as they do. 2. People keep buying them and paying the cost of them. So seeing that people keep paying the price that they charge, much as apple and Victoria secret. People keep paying the high cost which makes high profit. If everyone stopped paying the prices that they were lulu would be forced to lower the price

This is bs, there is more to those sports than high school college and the big american league. You could go pro anywhere else in the world. Being a professional is more about making a living out of your sport, not earning millions of dollars. You can be a basketball professional making enough to live by playing in german 2. Divison as an example

Golf definitely deserves a spot on this list. In 2020 there were 143,200 high school golfers, only 6% of those went to NCAA, only 2% to division I which is the only division that can earn points towards joining the tour, only 150 or so spots on tour, and only about half of those players make the cut at each event and actually earn money.

2 hours? jesus I can typically get Runner's High about twice a week on a 15 minute commute to work on a bike. I know it's runner's high, because the first like 2-3 hours of my shift feels like I'm walking on freaking cloud 9. You'd think being at work would be miserable. But it's one of the most euphoric experiences. Helps with the productivity. But then eventually work catches in. But it does feel insane. It's like being light as a feather. Like speed walking as your normal pace. Nothing hurts. Nothing aces. It's like having your favorite song at the peak of enjoyment and you just can't shake it. --- I didn't get that feeling in the winter and fall cycling trips, but in the summer when I can feel the wind in my hair. It's a glorious experience. It doesn't happen during the bike ride itself. But after. When I get to work, about 20 minutes into my shift it just kicks in.
